Daniel (Dan) R. Farmer


Daniel (Dan) R. Farmer joined Technology Management and Training Group Inc. (TMT Group, Inc.) as the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer 1 May 2008. His career spans 32 years of service to both the U.S. Army and the Defense Industry. Dan is responsible for directing corporate operations and supervising management staff and program directors for all technical and programmatic efforts to support Department of Defense, partnerships with academic institutions, and industry partners.

He formerly served with Intuitive Research Technology Corporation (INTUITIVE), an Inc. 500 Company with more than 120 employees, as the Director of Program Management-Support Programs. He developed an emerging Program Support Directorate supporting the U.S. Army Aviation Missile Research Development and Engineering Center, Program Executive Office Aviation and the Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program office in the Missile Defense Agency. As the Director for Support Programs, he led the largest corporate directorate to support more than 20 Department of Defense programs. In that capacity, he directed all sustainment engineering and analytical support functions for more than 30 different customers. Mr. Farmer managed 60 percent of the corporate resources and revenues.

Prior to Mr. Farmer entering into industry, he spent 20 years of his career in the U.S. Army as an Army Officer serving in both command and staff positions and attended the following schools; U.S. Army Combined Arms Service Staff School, U.S. Army Chemical Officers Advanced Course, U.S. Army Air Defense Basic Officer Course, U.S. Army Technical Escort Course, and U.S. Army Instructor Training Course.

Mr. Farmer has an Associate Degree in Computer Science Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland. He also holds a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from North Alabama Christian College. Mr. Farmer has numerous military awards and decorations.
